Jayceen has been involved in the planetarium community since 1985 when she was an actor with the Hansen Planetarium’s ZAP show which taught about electricity. The following year was RUSH, which taught about rocketry. She joined the full time staff in 1987and was the original voice of Mary and performed as Mary in “Simple Gifts of Christmas” at the Hansen Planetarium. The following year she directed the “Marys” for the second run of the show.

 

Jayceen is honored to continue working with Aaron by doing voice over work for Starlight
Express, “Your World in a Minute.” She travels the State of Utah and teaches Astronomy and Physics for the Clark Planetarium and performs in the Phun With Physics presentations for the University of Utah Physics and Astronomy Departments.

Jayceen received an associate's degree in Theatre from the College of Eastern Utah, which named her a distinguished alumnus, and a bachelor's degree in Theatre with a minor in Dance
from Southern Utah University. She is also an accomplished actress, having worked with the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Great American Melodrama in California. She has often
performed with the Salt Lake Acting Company, The Grand Theatre, Park City Performance, and Plan B Theatre, as well as in commercials, television, films and voice over work.
